As a Junior Estate & Wealth Planning Strategist, Tyler Steele supports The Lerner Group’s estate planning team in helping clients navigate the complexities of wealth preservation and legacy planning. With a sharp attention to detail and a passion for empowering families, Tyler reviews and refines estate plans to ensure they align with each client’s values, goals, and long-term vision. He finds fulfillment in guiding clients through meaningful decisions that create lasting impact for generations to come.

Before joining The Lerner Group, Tyler developed a strong foundation in legal analysis and communication through several clerkships and externships. He served as a Legal Extern for the Honorable Judge Ronald F. Bartkowicz at the Circuit Court of Cook County Law Division, where he drafted judicial opinions on dispositive motions. He also worked as a Law Clerk at Nyhan, Bambrick, Kinzie, and Lowry, assisting with pro se case management and preparing for settlement and arbitration hearings. At Schwartz Jambois, Tyler supported negligence litigation by drafting settlement documents and discovery responses.

Tyler earned his BA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his JD from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he contributed to the UIC Review of Intellectual Property Law.

Outside of work, Tyler enjoys golfing, traveling, discovering new restaurants around Chicago, and spending time with his cat, Tito.
