Mingdong Tan

As Managing Director and Partner at the Lerner Group, Ming leads equity trading. His primary focus is ensuring clients are invested according to their individual needs, risk tolerance and aspirations. Ming brings tailored solutions to the unique needs of Chinese clients as he assists them in multi-generational wealth transfer and retirement planning.

Ming has been a part of Lerner Group since 2002. One of his primary focuses since the transition to Hightower has been to ensure a scalable trading platform to allow our clients flexibility with their investment portfolios.

Prior to The Lerner Group’s transition to Hightower, Ming served as Vice President at The Lerner Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney alongside JR. Ming holds a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Northeastern Illinois University and a BA in Economics and Business Law from Hua Zhong University of Science and Technology in China. Ming is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese and holds his FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.
