David Sokolovsky: As head of Financial Planning with The Lerner Group, David works closely with clients to help them define their short-term and long-term goals and create actionable strategies to achieve their financial aspirations. David partners with Wealth Advisors and Wealth Strategists to ensure that financial plans, estate plans and investment strategies are coordinated and balanced between short term and long-term goals.
David was with the Lerner Group from 2008 to 2014 and helped transition the client base from Morgan Stanley to HighTower. Prior to re-joining the Lerner Group, David held multiple roles in the financial services industry. Most recently, he was an Assistant Vice President of Strategy at Zurich North America where he led projects for senior executives, including designing operating models and completing M&A transactions.
David graduated magna cum laude from DePaul University with a BS in Finance and earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is a CFA charter holder and is currently pursuing the CFP designation. David holds the FINRA Series 65 license and is fluent in Russian.
David moved to the Chicagoland area with his family in 1992 from Ukraine. He enjoys traveling with his wife and learning about the different cultures and regions around the world.
